The advent of new millennium herald the dawn of new chapter of success in a short but eventful history of Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMC-Trust) Al-hamdo Lillah, the President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 promulgated the ordinance for the establishment of Riphah International University at Islamabad. This University has been established by IIMC-Trust.
Presently, Riphah International University (RIU) has six faculties:

Riphah International University fulfils the criteria approved by the Cabinet on February 27, 2002 for the establishment of a new University or a degree - awarding institution. The University is strictly following the guidelines set by the Higher Education Commission and also working within the framework of the education policy and other laws or policies framed/amended by the Federal Government from time to time.
Riphah International University is committed to provide high level and quality instructions and training with provision for research, demonstration, advancement and dissemination of practical knowledge.
The University has the power to decide teaching methods and strategies to ensure the most effective consonance with the developing environments and to meet the current challenges of the world.
Riphah International University will affiliate or associate itself with other institutions and establish campuses within the country and abroad for the discharge of its functions.
