College Rules Governing Students

All students will abide by instructions, orders, rules / regulations, ethics, moral code and college dress as envisaged in prospectus, college proctors or class seniors (appointed by the college administration). Violation of these rules tantamount to serious breach of discipline / orders.

  • All students be quiet in college premises. Students are forbidden to sing, whistle, hoot, create noise or indulge in any unseemly behavior or activity in college premises at any time.

  • Punctuality to class timing and proper discipline in class-rooms, practical, demonstration and tutorials will be of highest orders. Students have to wear white coats during lectures and practical.

  • No student is allowed to loiter and move aimlessly in and around college premises or while-away his / her time in college canteen / cafeteria or market place. For boarder girls students, proper bazaar trips will be arranged twice a month by the college.

  • No gathering or meeting of students will be allowed in the premises of college and hostels. Any student who wishes to make a representation on any subject has the right to direct access to the Principal at any time during college hours by appointment, if not satisfied by his / her interview with the Senior Vice Principal / Vice Principal.

  • Every part of the college building and hostel premises shall be kept clean e.g. walls, fixtures, models, specimens, charts, etc should not be pierced, defaced, mutilated or damage in any way or form. Defaulters will be dealt with severely.
  • It is the duty of each student to maintain highest degree of cleanliness of college premises and the hostels including toilets and kitchens.
  • All damages in any form caused by the students due to their negligence or deliberate act knowing it to be so, shall be repaired at the expense of student / students responsible for the negligence.
  • No female is allowed to visit or stay in Boys hostel.
  • In case of voluntary withdrawal the following will apply

    1. Admission fee is not refundable
    2. Tuition, boarding & lodging fee may be returned on prorated basis during six weeks following the commencement of the session for which the student has been enrolled. Thereafter, no refund of any kind shall be made.
  • No religious ceremony likely to injure the feelings of other borders shall be performed in the hostel.

  • Every border shall be in his room by 09:30 p.m. in summer and 08:00 p.m. in winter except those who are on bonafide duty in hospital. These timings are subject to change if so required.

  • Borders are prohibited from leaving the hostel after 09:30 p.m. in summer and 08:00 p.m. in winter. Any border who wishes to stay out after this time, shall take prior permission from the warden. Late comers in the hostel will first report to warden of their hostel before going to their rooms.

  • Any student / boarder found guilty of persistent violation of rules shall be suspended or dismissed from college / hostel by the Principal.

  • Defacing walls, orders on notice boards, fixture, furniture & electric appliances is strictly prohibited.

  • All cases of sickness must be reported to the authorities. In case of living in hostels warden shall be notified at once for necessary action.

  • College is not responsible for loss of any property, valuables and jewellery etc of the borders.

  • Use of liquor or any allied substances is strictly prohibited in the college and hostels.

  • In hostels, students must keep their rooms neat, clean and tidy. The beds should be properly arranged and a cover be used. Dirty clothes should be stored separately and removed at once.

  • Parents / guardians are expected to co-operate with the authorities of the college by prevailing and motivating their wards not to take part in any antisocial activities.

  • Students are not allowed to smoke in college premises.
  • No student should address any conference including press conference, nor write to the press on a political or related subject on matter concerned directly with the administration of the college or any government or educational institution, University in Pakistan or abroad. No posters or banners shall be displayed without the approval of Principal.

  • In case of complaint it will be investigated by senior members of the staff (Head of Department). If it is of serious nature it will be forwarded to the Academic Council for further investigations and the recommendations will be forwarded to the Principal.

  • In dealing with any breach of discipline, infringement of the rules and regulations mentioned above, the Principal may decide to order appropriate penalty including apology (verbal or written), fine, temporary suspension from the college, removal from the hostel, removal from the college and rustication after due concurrence of College Academic Council and the decision will be conveyed to the Chairman, Board of Governors.

  • For leave or absence, the students must apply in writing stating the reason for his / her request. Every student is required to attend 80% of lectures. Repeated absence from lecturers, practicals, classes, seminars. Demonstrations and from hospital wards will make a student liable to be struck off from the College Roll.

  • In theory the margin of twenty percent of absence from, lectures, practical classes and demonstration is intended to cover those absences which result on account of sickness or special emergencies in families. A written application should be sent to the Principal by the student or their parents in this regard.

  • Students are not allowed to indulge in abusive language or fight.

  • Students are not allowed to eat and drink from shops or restaurants which are not allowed or unauthorized on the basis of their hygienic standard and locations.

  • The authority may expel a student at any time if it is not satisfied with his / her health, conduct or character or defaulter of College dues / fees.

  • Students have to be present in time at any specified activity of the college.

  • The students must display their names while on the college premises.
  • Note: Infringement of these rule is a serious offence.

College Uniform

Summer

Boys:

i) White shirts with collar and a front pocket (wash-n-wear)
ii) Trouser (Light Gray)
iii) Neck tie (Burgundy)
iv) Oxford shoes (Black Color)
v) Black socks

Girls:

i) White shalwar qameeze (swan white with band collar)
ii) White scarf in combination with para (i)
iii) Black shoes with small heals
iv) Socks
v) Knee long white overall

Winter

In addition to above dress the Male student will wear a coat:- Maroon blazer single breasted, Suit type along-with worsted pants (steel gray) suit type, baggy pants are not allowed.

The Female students will have maroon blazer single breasted alternately maroon woolen sweater with "V" shaped neck ( coats & sweaters should not be very tight or very loose either). White overall is mandatory.

Word of Advice:

It is advisable that coats & sweaters may be got stitched / purchased after joining the college for the purpose of having correct pattern, color and design. In addition, it is desirable that female students may also have a carrying bag / purse (Black color). College authorities can help the students purchase text books and other items of stationery locally. This would ease out extra weight in the luggage of out station students.

Note: The above specifications for the Uniform of IIMC students must strictly be followed. College proctors will check the uniform from time to time.
